Your guide will take you in a private vehicle for a drive outside of Hobart through Sorell and Dunalley an amazingly resilient town that was ravaged by a major fire in 2013 and now rebuilt.
From here you head onto the Tasman Peninsula towards Eaglehawk Neck and its stunning coastal views and rock features such as the Pirates Bay Lookout, Tasmans Arch and Devils Kitchen. Whilst there you will drive past the cute and creative Doo Town with house names such as ‘Dr Doolittle’ and ’This ill Doo’.
The next part of the journey features a stop at Federation Artisan Chocolate where you can taste some of their vast array of flavoured chocolate but also see them being made. This is followed by lunch and a stroll at the Port Arthur Lavender Cafe who grow and make a large range of lavender products available for purchase at their provedore shop.
After lunch you will spend some quality time at Port Arthur Historic Site, a World Heritage listed Australian convict site featuring the remains of a convict prison and settlement on the shores of a beautiful deep harbour. Here you will be able to explore their gallery and historic buildings as well as take a harbour cruise and encircle the eerie island graveyard, Isle of the Dead.
