Your private guide and vehicle will pick you up at your Hobart accommodation or cruise ship terminal for a drive into the Derwent Valley. See its historic villages and the rural scenery featuring fields of hops and associated Oast houses, used for drying the hops for beer making.
Visit Mt Field National Park where you can take a short walk to Russell Falls and return or continue to the Tall Trees Walk and marvel at the giant swamp gum with a height of up to 30 metres. On the journey back you can drop in for a snack at the local Raspberry Farm (in season) and feed the fish at the Salmon Ponds.
Enjoy lunch at Brighton’s Best Bakehouse, multiple award winner of the Great Aussie Meat Pie Competition. Then drop into Bonorong Wildlife Sanctuary where you can see a large range of native wildlife including wombats, koalas, Tasmanian devils, quolls, possum, snakes and a large range of native birds. You will even get an opportunity to feed and pat their large mob of kangaroos.
It is then just an easy 30 minute drive back to your accommodation or cruise ship terminal in Hobart.
