Your private tour guide will drive past the Hobart waterfront and Parliament House then through the iconic Salamanca Place, home of the world famous Salamanca Market (Saturdays 8:30am – 3:30pm) and home to heritage convict built buildings, beautiful lawns and mature trees decorated with fairy lights before venturing into nearby Battery Point one of Hobart’s oldest and historic areas.
Head towards the foothills of Mt Wellington and drive past the iconic and historic sandstone buildings of the Cascades Female Factory Historic Site former Australian workhouse for female convicts and Cascade Brewery, Australia’s oldest continually operating brewery established in 1832.
Enjoy views of Hobart from all angles starting with a birds-eye view of the Derwent River from the Mt Nelson Signal Station before driving to beautiful Cornelian Bay and its display of yachts below the Tasman Bridge. You will then travel the Tasman Bridge to the Eastern Shore to Rosny Lookout for a perfect view of Hobart with its majestic Mt Wellington backdrop.
