Take a private guided tour to Bonorong Wildlife Sanctuary, 30 minute drive outside of Hobart and meet their team of wildlife warriors. You will meet their resident wombats, Tasmanian devils, kangaroos, wallabies, koalas, quolls, possums, snakes and a large range of native birdlife.
You will then take a drive through the Coal River Valley to the beautiful historic town of Richmond. Here you will see Richmond Bridge, the oldest sandstone bridge still in use in Australia, and St Johns, the oldest Catholic Church.
After lunch at Richmond Bakery take a stroll around and see the villages elegant Georgian architecture and beautiful heritage buildings which are now home to galleries, tea shops, craft boutiques and museums.
Heading back to Hobart you will drop into visit The Wicked Cheese Company, where you can see their cheeses being made, enjoy free tastings and peruse their provedore shop.
Before we return you to your cruise ship or accommodation there will be an opportunity to take a photo of Hobart city and Waterfront with its majestic kunayi/Mt Wellington backdrop at the Rosny Lookout.
